Mother Teresa was born in 1910, August 26 in an Albanian family. Her real name was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. Since childhood, she had this desire of helping people who are in any mind of misery.
At the age of 12, she decided to dedicate her life to the poor. She came to India when she was 19 and joined an Irish Nun community in Kolkata called Sisters of Loretto.
She was a school teacher in Kolkata from 1929 to 1948. She always wanted to stand beside poor and feeble people. And for this impulsion, she founded “Nirmal Hriday” in 1952. She started to collect funds through charity and then with that aid she was finally able to help the poor. She started an orphanage even a missionary too.

Poor people could get free treatment from nurses and doctors. Not just that she was devoted to education too. Her desire was to educate the poor mass without having them pay a heavy amount of money. She was known as a ray of hope for many. She became an icon of clemency and benevolence all over the world.
She founded a number of institutions for the betterment of people and these Institutions founded by her are still continuously helping people who are in need to date. For her amazing effort and unconditional love towards helping people, she received the highest honor one can be respected with, which is the Noble peace prize in 1979.
This Majestic lady breathed her last in 1997. Her efforts and adjuvant nature will always be remembered till the earth exists.
